BBQ Pits at Upper BBQ Site (Near SSQ at Site B)

The four (4) BBQ pits at the Upper BBQ Site is opened for use by staff residents and departmental functions subject to approval.

Booking by individual staff resident

  • Booking can only be made by staff residents (staff, spouse & direct dependents).
  • Every family can only reserve one BBQ pit at any one session.
  • Booking will only be accepted not more than 7 days before the intended date of use, subject to availability, on a first-come-first serve basis.
  • Booking can be made in advance by phone to the Housing Section of CMO (Tel.: 2358 6527) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on office day.  Only one BBQ pit can be reserved for each phone call.
  • A booking confirmation will be sent to the successful applicant.

 

Booking for departmental functions

  • Reservation have to be made by e-mail to the Senior Manager (Housing), with respective department head’s endorsement, not less than 2 weeks before the intended date of use.
  • Normally, a maximum of 2 departmental functions will be allowed each month as long as they are not held in the same week.  Session 2 on Friday and session 1 on Sunday are usually allowed for departmental function.
  • Approval of the reservation shall subject to availability, on a first-come-first serve basis.
  • A booking confirmation will be sent to the successful applicant.

 

Use of the BBQ pits

  • BBQ pit users have to bring along with them the booking confirmation issued by the Housing Section for CMO staff’s checking.
  • Using the BBQ pits without prior booking is prohibited and may subject to disciplinary actions.
  • Users should be considerate and not to affect other BBQ pit users nearby.
  • Users are required to keep the noise level down in order not to cause nuisance to the SSQ residents nearby.
  • Users should keep the area clean.  Rubbish should be packed and put into the refuse bins provided.
  • All foods have to be taken away and fire completely extinguished before leaving.
